Shaun C. Badham, PLOT: Water Laid, Estuary Festival, 22 May – 13 June 2021
PLOT: Water Laid is a new body of work by Shaun C. Badham presented at Wat Tyler Country Park which explores the history of water wells within the surrounding area.
Between 2014 and 2018 Shaun moved back to Basildon, Essex where he began to re-explore his birth town with interest in the local history from the plotlands to the New Town experiment. This body of works aims to understand and facilitate discussion around this history while considering current issues of land ownership, displaced communities, local politics and promoting a discussion about our most precious resource, water.
The PLOT project currently includes a series of paintings, workshops, research panels, sculptures, digital work, a road sign, lectern and recently a podcast.
