Paula Chambers, Home (dis)Comforts, solo show, Dye House Gallery, Bradford 16 April – 4 May 2018

Paula Chamber’s latest exhibition, Home (dis)Comforts, sees found domestic objects perform uncanny narratives of feminist discontent. These overlooked and undervalued objects have been transformed as sculpture, to disrupt purpose and intention — performing an unhomeliness that would trouble Freud’s reading of the uncanny as the return of the repressed.
