Mark Corfield-Moore: Stokkoya Collaborative Residency, Norway

Mark Corfield-Moore recently participated in a collaborative residency with three other artists in Stokkoya, Norway, funded by Kulturkontact Nord and University of the Arts, London. The residency culminated in the creation of a new, permanent public sculpture entitled ‘New York, New York’. The group experimented with sound and language to fill and transform the epic Norwegian landscape in the mind of the viewer, clashing the histories and rural/urban distinction of Stokkoya with Frank Sinatra’s ‘New York, New York.

The other artists Corfield-Moore collaborated with were Kirsten Bertelsen, Harrison Moore and Miho Tanabe.
