Jyll Bradley commissioned to create public work for Hull, ahead of the city’s year as UK City of Culture in 2017

Green/Shade will be a large-scale work for the garden of an innovative new social housing development in Hull, UK. The work will fuse contemporary and natural materials to create a gathering place in the central courtyard. Green/Shade takes inspiration from the classic poem ‘The Garden’ by local metaphysical poet Andrew Marvell (1621-78). The work will be unveiled in 2017, Hull’s year as City of Culture.
