Joanna Rajkowska Performance: 22 October 2016, Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews, Warsaw

Joanna Rajkowska will present her installation, Forcing a Miracle, inspired by Jewish mysticism in front of the Polin Museum building. Using hundreds of incense sticks and sounds, the artist will transform the space around the museum to make it seem unreal, devoid of time and context.

Forcing a Miracle was first presented at Frieze London 2012; further details can be found here.

Please find an interview with the artist about the project, here.

This event has been realised as part of The Sounds of Pre-war Zamenhofa Street project.

The project organized by the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland, with POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews as its partner. The project is co-sponsored by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
