Anita Witek, Don’t call it off-space at das weisse haus, Vienna, 29 November – 12 December 2018

On Tuesday, 28th November at 7pm, the anniversary exhibition Don’t call it off-space! at das weisse haus, Vienna, will open with a selection of work by artists exhibiting over the last ten years. Anita Witek’s ordinary subjects (#23), 2011, will be featured. 

 

Exhibiting across the city, das weisse haus has inhabited six different venues; once housed in a butcher’s shop, on an office floor, and then in a tax office, das weisse haus is currently at home in a school. “Studio das weisse haus” (an artist residency program, and local artist studio space) was set up as one of the first of its kind in Vienna, which included the exchange of curators and cultural journalists in the program. It established the ‘Erste Bank ExtraVALUE Art Award’ in collaboration with ACF New York and Erste Group, and embarked on collaborations with universities and cultural institutions, on both a national and international scale.
