We are proud to announce that l’étrangère has been awarded Best Curatorial Project, and Best Presentation in Exhibit, at The Others Art Fair, former Hospital Regina Maria Adelaide, Turin, 2016.

The prize for Best Curatorial Project was awarded to l’étrangère, for our presentation displaying Marie Jeschke’s  Kieshofer Moor, Always (2015) and Małgorzata Markiewicz’s The Map (2013), Mobile Signature of Place (2000) and Flowers (2006). The jury (Alemani Martina, Federica tattoli, Gabriele Tosi, Claudio Zecchi) commented that the presentation excelled in its exploration of the construction and deconstruction of identity, within the systems of the gesture and image, building a rich dialogue between the two artists.

Anita Witek’s installation EsIstSoWieEsScheint, was presented as a unique iteration of the work, as part of the fair’s Exhibit section, dedicated to large scale works; the work won the prize for Best Presentation in Exhibit. The Jury (Cesare Audrito, Alessandro Carrer, Francesco Fossati) felt the work stood out for its conceptual complexity and interesting reflection on how images are read and consumed in contemporary society.
